Legal Services Director
Brian Litzinger
Brian Litzinger is a family law attorney at Elise Buie Family Law with extensive experience in both prosecution and civil litigation. He began his career as a deputy district attorney, prosecuting domestic violence and substance-related crimes before turning to family law.
After leaving the DA’s office, Brian worked in civil law firms handling personal injury, criminal defense, civil litigation, and family law matters. Since joining EBFLG, Brian has focused his practice exclusively on family law, lending a broad perspective to complex cases, including domestic matters.
Brian approaches every case with dedication and advocacy, treating family law cases with the same vigor he brought to his work as a prosecutor. He works closely with clients to understand their circumstances and develops strategies designed to achieve the best possible outcome. While he is comfortable representing clients in contested courtroom matters, he is deeply committed to resolving disputes through mediation before escalating.
Philosophy and Background
Brian’s time in the District Attorney’s office informs his approach to family law, where he brings that same zealous commitment to his clients’ goals today. His experience in criminal and civil law gives him a broad-based perspective and the ability to craft solutions tailored to each client’s needs, from uncontested separations and high-conflict, high-asset divorces to peaceful dissolutions between amicable co-parents.
Brian holds a B.A. in sociology with a focus on group dynamics from the University of Colorado and a J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
Role in the Seattle Community
In his free time, Brian enjoys playing video games with his son and wife, attending K-Pop concerts, and traveling.
